Mariam is a passionate advocate for the viola, with her rich musical experiences taking her around the world. She has performed with chamber music groups in the UK, Spain, Switzerland, France, Ukraine, Russia, China, South Korea, and Japan. Mariam’s orchestral contributions are substantial, as she currently undergoes a trial at the Royal Opera House, where she has already been performing for the past 14 years. In addition to playing in the viola section, Mariam has also showcased her talent in off-stage solos, participating in contemporary premieres and interpreting classic repertoire. Her dedication to the instrument and her versatility as a musician are truly remarkable. Furthermore, she has contributed to esteemed ensembles such as the London Chamber Orchestra and the Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra. Mariam’s extensive teaching experience as a viola and chamber music instructor at Harrow School and the Encore Music Projects summer course reflects her commitment to nurturing the next generation of musicians.
